Choose your level
Four levels, A1 to B2. Pick the one that sounds like you — or take the 4-minute quiz and let it tell you.
Nobody arrives as a clean A1 or a clean B2. Most people read better than they speak, or remember grammar they can no longer use out loud.
Pick whichever of these sounds closest. It is a starting point, not a verdict — I check it properly in the first class, and it takes ten minutes.
Absolute beginner
Start from zero. By the end you introduce yourself, order in a café, and read everyday français.
Elementary
Hold a real conversation about family, work and travel — and talk about the past.
Intermediate
Follow native speakers, handle whatever travel throws at you, and explain your opinions.
Upper intermediate
Speak fluently enough to argue a point, follow news and film, and write clearly. The level the exams want.
Nobody arrives as a clean A1. Most people read far better than they speak.
